I'm downloading azur lane am I gonna die
Given past experiences I suspect I'm fundamentally immune to gacha mechanics but I feel like I ought to at least play one just to understand how they work
anyway this still absolutely blows my mind
so my day job is making games for doctors, and keeping the UI minimal enough to be useful without being overwhelming is a huge design challenge
good to know the key to a Top Grossing App is apparently like 200 buttons and fifteen anime girls just strewn all over everywhere
this game seems... bad
it's ostensibly a shmup but like... they've gotta make it stats-based for the gacha crap to work, so you can't meaningfully dodge attacks or even aim really; you just tank damage and "dodge" hits via dice roll
I dunno man I can look at jpegs of anime girls on the internet for free without having to play a really bad euroshmup/real-money progress quest mashup first
(I went into this hoping there was like an actual videogame atop which all the F2P stuff would be layered, but apparently it's just "pay money to make numbers go up" all the way to the core)
