Never actually played this; wanted to but was busy with school when it came out and then my 360 melted
Every cutscene is like 70% freezeframes on ridiculous poses this is amazing
Brown and Bloom and Blue Fog, the official color scheme of the Microsoft X Box Three Hundred and Sixty
I still sometimes think about Assassin's Creed II's smeary blown-out bluish brownscape and feel a brief wave of nausea
hi speedtree
Also there's a screenspace gradient blended over the top half the screen. Color changes for different areas
It's a neat effect; only other place I recall seeing it is Tales of Vesperia (where it actually looks much better IMO due to art style)
This game's super fun but it devotes an awful lot of time to walking through corridors not fighting anything which is decidedly less fun
Feels like they learned some design lessons between this and MGR
Also the speed required for the mashing QTEs is just plain unfair
A Gold Medal actually means you suck because the medals go Bronze Silver Gold Platinum Even More Platinum
Somebody could write a book on the history of ranking inflation in Japanese videogames
What if you took an exam and got an A but it still tanked your GPA because it wasn't an SSS+

Only other examples I can think of off the top of my head are Dragon's Crown and Kingdom Hearts (to an admittedly lesser extent)
Also Magna Carta maybe? Never played those but I get the impression the actual game models are way less exaggerated than Kim's illustrations
should I play magna carta
omg this motorcycle level
KAMIYA: What if we put spyhunter in it
REST OF P*: Yes
"Can we do Space Harrier too"
"You mean like a rail shooter level?"
"No like literally Space Harrier, like with the music and everything"
Now if you look overhead you will see an excellent example of the meteorological phenomenon known as the "skydome anus"
Cartographers refer to this arrangement as "plate carrée" or "the butthole projection"
If you use a lat/long unwrap on your skydomes the ESRB actually mandates at least a T rating for Partial Nudity
Nicolas Auguste Tissot died for your UV maps and this is how you repay him
On a related note I once encountered the term "nipple vortex" used to describe the commonly-used topology when modeling torsos
