Started watching Flip Flappers. Super interesting thus far. Really weird fairytale surrealism + occasional crazy Trigger-esque action

Has an interesting consistency between character and background art; lots of lineart used even on static backgrounds to unify everything
Haven't watched enough to have much of an opinion on plot/writing yet (it's v strange) but I'm really digging the art direction
Also it's not a manga/LN adaptation so that p much guarantees it's good as far as I'm concerned
Finished Flip Flappers last night. Enjoyed it a lot; kinda wish it was longer. Was v good but last couple episodes kinda stumbled imo
Which I mean, it's an anime so I dunno why I expected any different lol
Tried to do a massive exposition dump + set up villian + fight villian + resolve character arcs in the space of like two episodes
But hey it does actually pull everything together and get to a "proper" conclusion even if it's a bit rushed. More than can be said for most
Fantastic art direction, smart plot for the most part, pacing issues notwithstanding it's overall quite good
Also primary ship is adorable
