really wonder how big the venn overlap between "people who complain about weapon durability" and "people who never ran into Hestu and thus never discovered you can get more weapon slots" is
note: the above tweet is absolutely not an invitation to tell me your opinion about weapon durability
the like... arrow economy is maybe the single strangest aspect of this game
the only enemies in the entire world that consistently drop arrows are the lizalfos on the road to zora's domain
even shops barely stock any
since almost everyone does zora's domain first, you get like 200 arrows near the start of the game
and then 20 hours later you run out of arrows and suddenly realize you've never picked any up, and you have no idea where to get them or how you ever had any in the first place lol
It's interesting that a first playthrough feels so wide open, because it turns out the game tries SUPER hard to guide you towards zoras first
you get the 4 beasts quest in kakariko, and zora's the only one that feels "forwards" from there. Heading to any of the other 3 requires backtracking
If you DO aim for one of the others, there are zoras all over the middle region of the map that all tell you to go find Sidon
Additionally the whole map's kinda cut in half by hyrule castle + lost woods + death mountain
I decided to do rito stuff first and getting to the western side of the map with 3 hearts and early gear is HARD lol
like moblin camps over there have fire arrows and Royal weapons
anyway pretty much everyone I know did zoras first when they played this, so it's pretty neat to revisit it and realize that the game VERY intentionally guides you in that direction, without ever making it super obvious
man, what a good videogame
