Alright calling the storm level done for the foreseeable future
Jump through cloud cover!
If you played any of the builds that I've taken to shows, it doesn't look DRAMATICALLY different but a lot of tweaks made it more playable
Light on the horizon gives visual anchor for the camera movement, and the clouds themselves are much smoother so the enemies stand out more
Also there's a foreground cloud layer now so you actually go THROUGH the clouds instead of the player always drawing on top of them
ALSO completely reworked the code for the cloud layer. Now uses 10 quads instead of 120+a fullscreen background. Saved 200+ draw calls lol
Basically my point is gamedev takes forever
